Nearly 1 in 2 people have an illness. . . but they feel invisible

Videos By Lisa, Author/Speaker

You may have friends who live with a chronic illness or perhaps you attend a church and are looking for ministry ideas for women or the duties of a deacon.

Where do you begin? It’s easy to say, “I will pray for you” but do you really know how to pray for others who are ill? You may write a card, but what to write on a card besides the typical biblical quotes of encouragement or sayings of encouragement.

My name is Lisa Copen, and I am the author of Beyond Casseroles: 505 Ways to Encourage a Chronically ill Friend . Throughout the videos I will share how to pray effectively, comforting words during illness, and even how to clean a house. You can offer those you care about the best quotes of encouragement and strength as well as an encouraging bible verse. Many people offer quotes for ill people but those who know the most comforting words during illness as well as practical help, make all the difference.

Feel free to use these to share with your support groups, church, or to embed in your own web site. Soon I will have a DVD with many of them ready to play with ease to your church or group.

I am humbled to be the founder of Rest Ministries, the largest Christian organization that serves those who live with chronic illness or pain. I’ve lived with active rheumatoid arthritis and fibromyalgia since 1993. You can read more about my speaking and ministry at author/speaker web site.
